Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has issued a stern and final warning to director and television host Yasir Nawaz, asking him to stop making negative or unnecessary remarks about her on public platforms.
The warning follows a recent episode of a popular television show in which Yasir Nawaz appeared as a guest. During a light-hearted game segment, the show’s host jokingly suggested that Yasir choose Alizeh Shah as his “imaginary sister.” In response, Yasir made a remark that many viewers found disrespectful, saying he did not want her as his sister. A clip of the exchange quickly went viral on social media, triggering strong reactions online.
After the video circulated widely, Alizeh Shah addressed the issue through a detailed Instagram post. She expressed her frustration, stating that this would be her final warning to Yasir Nawaz. According to Alizeh Shah, it has been nearly five years since she last worked with him, yet he continues to mention her name repeatedly during talk show appearances.
Alizeh Shah emphasized that she no longer wants to be linked to Yasir Nawaz’s statements and firmly asked him to stop referring to her in any context. She noted that while he sometimes apologizes, at other times he publicly claims that working with her was “not fun,” which she believes does not justify repeatedly bringing her name into discussions years later.
The actress further revealed that she has maintained records and documentation of various shows in which, according to her, Yasir Nawaz has spoken negatively about her. She warned that if he mentions her name again or indirectly refers to her on any future platform, she will proceed with filing a defamation lawsuit without issuing another notice.
In her statement, Alizeh Shah also cautioned that continued behavior of this nature could lead her to disclose the real reasons behind their professional differences to the industry, adding that such revelations would not benefit Yasir Nawaz’s public image
