Aleema Khan Advocates 'Give and Take' Strategy for Imran Khan’s Release

Aleema Khan Proposes ‘Give and Take’ Deal for Imran Khan’s Release

Islamabad – Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has proposed a “give and take” deal as a potential path to the former prime minister’s release.

Speaking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday, Aleema Khan questioned the basis of her brother’s prolonged incarceration. “Tell us what you want – what should he offer? What has he done to deserve this? Why target him?” she asked. “We still don’t know what you want from him after two years. Tell us what he should give up to be released. Stop hiding behind the curtain – talk to us directly.”

Emphasizing the family’s willingness to engage, she added, “We are ready to talk openly and honestly.”

Aleema Khan maintained that Imran Khan’s only “fault” was adhering to his principles. “His so-called crime is that he follows his own righteous path,” she said.

Highlighting his contributions, she cited the Al-Qadir Trust University as an example of his commitment to education, noting that the university teaches Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH).

Calling for transparency in political dealings, she urged authorities to engage in direct dialogue rather than operating through back channels. “Face us and speak directly. Don’t operate in secrecy,” she said.

Aleema Khan also cautioned against coercion, stating, “Do not threaten judges or members of parliament.”
