Federal Minister for Communications Aleem Khan has paid glowing tribute to the Pakistan Navy, calling its role in national defence exemplary. His remarks came in a message issued on Monday to mark Navy Day.
Aleem Khan said the Pakistan Navy had always stood at the frontline in safeguarding the country. He noted that naval personnel had made unmatched sacrifices for the homeland and continued to face challenges with courage and strength.
The minister highlighted that Navy Day reminds the nation of the sacrifices of those who gave their lives for Pakistan. He said the entire country salutes the Navy’s brave officers and sailors, who have consistently confronted the enemy with resolve and dedication.
Aleem Khan praised the Navy for defending Pakistan’s maritime borders with vigilance and professionalism. He said the force’s readiness to put their lives at risk for the nation’s safety was a true reflection of their devotion.
He also acknowledged the leadership of Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf. Under his command, the Navy has grown stronger and more capable, he said. The minister recalled how the Navy wrote a historic chapter in 1965 by carrying out bold operations and defending the nation against a larger adversary.
The minister further emphasized that the Navy not only protects the country’s maritime frontiers but also contributes to economic growth. He pointed out its role in safeguarding sea trade routes, supporting port development, and promoting the blue economy.
Concluding his message, Aleem Khan reaffirmed the nation’s pride in the Pakistan Navy. He said its martyrs and ghazis would always be remembered for their courage and dedication. Their sacrifices, he added, remain a source of inspiration for future generations.
