Air Arabia, a prominent airline based in the United Arab Emirates, has officially been granted permission to expand its flight operations within Pakistan. This development marks a significant boost in connectivity between the two countries.

According to a statement from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the airline has been authorized to commence seven weekly flights to Sialkot International Airport. These operations are scheduled to begin on July 17, 2025, enhancing travel options for passengers in the region.

In addition to the Sialkot route, Air Arabia has also received the green light to operate five weekly flights each to Multan and Faisalabad. This expansion follows the formal approval granted by the Government of Pakistan, reflecting strengthening aviation ties between Pakistan and the UAE.

A spokesperson for the CAA confirmed the development and noted that the approvals are part of broader efforts to improve international air connectivity for Pakistan’s regional cities. The added frequencies are expected to facilitate smoother travel for business, tourism, and family visits, particularly for the Pakistani diaspora residing in the UAE.

The expansion aligns with Air Arabia’s continued growth strategy in South Asia and responds to increasing passenger demand between the two nations. The newly approved routes are anticipated to contribute to improved trade links and increased flight options for travelers.

This move also supports the government’s goal to promote regional airports by bringing in international carriers and boosting local economies. The increased presence of foreign airlines like Air Arabia underscores the growing confidence of international stakeholders in Pakistan’s aviation infrastructure.

With operations starting mid-July, travelers can now expect more flexible and frequent travel options across major cities in Punjab.
