[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Instagram experienced a brief outage on Monday morning that lasted a few hours. Users ran across issues when the app’s feed became sluggish, displaying error messages indicating an inability to refresh. Concurrently, the website presented a blank page, which added to the frustration.
The outage was first reported shortly after 3 a.m. PKT, with the number of complaints reaching over 175,000 at its peak, according to the outage tracker DownDetector. However, at 4:30 a.m. PKT, the problem had been rectified, and Instagram was fully operational once more, allowing users to access the platform without interruption.
In an email statement to The Verge following the downtime, Meta spokesperson Dave Arnold addressed the problem. He elaborated:
Earlier today, some customers were unable to access Instagram due to a technical issue. We worked promptly to rectify the issue for everyone who was affected, and we apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.

Because of the timing of the occurrence, news outlets in Australia quickly emphasised the outage, making it a topic of debate on Monday morning.
Fortunately, other Meta services such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Horizon Worlds appear to be unaffected. There are no signs of extensive problems, such as the significant data centre backbone issue that previously affected the company’s services for several hours in 2021.
There were no updates about the outage on Instagram’s help website or their accounts on other platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
While it would be natural to expect information on an Instagram-owned site like Twitter, it is vital to emphasise that, despite rumours and leaks to the contrary, such a service does not currently exist.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
