Afghan FM To Assumes Role As Deputy Premier

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Acting Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi will temporarily assume the role of deputy prime minister due to the illness of Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, according to Afghan Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid.

Muttaqi will advise Acting Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund on both domestic and foreign policy matters. Mujahid stated that Muttaqi will handle foreign affairs, while the head of the political deputy PM’s office will manage other tasks.

Kabir has been absent from official meetings since September due to health reasons, and his return is expected after a period of rest, as mentioned by Hassan Haqyar, head of the media directorate of the political deputy premier.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
