Pakistan’s opening batsman, Abdullah Shafique, has encountered a setback in the form of a fever just before the crucial World Cup encounter with Australia.
It has been reported that both pace bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Usama Mir had previously displayed symptoms of fever, but they have now fully recovered.
To ensure the health and safety of the players, a strict health protocol was immediately implemented for those displaying fever symptoms. Additionally, all players underwent COVID-19 testing and were assessed for symptoms related to dengue fever.

Thankfully, team sources have assured everyone that the well-being of the Pakistan team’s players is not a cause for concern.
In a precautionary move, the Pakistan team decided to forgo their originally scheduled Tuesday training session, with the team management opting to grant the players a day off in preparation for the crucial match against Australia.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan team’s squad is slated to have a training session tomorrow afternoon. In the tournament, Pakistan has won two out of three matches so far, with their sole defeat coming against their arch-rivals, India, last Saturday.
