Abducted KIPS College CEO Returns Home Safely After Release

The chief executive officer of a KIPS college, who was reportedly abducted from Lahore’s Johar Town area, has returned home safely after being released by his captors.

Police confirmed that Abid Wazir Khan reached his residence in good health, adding that his condition is satisfactory and he did not require immediate medical attention.

Authorities said a formal investigation into the alleged kidnapping is ongoing, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest those involved in the incident.

According to police officials, further details will be shared once the inquiry is completed and investigators are able to establish the full sequence of events.

As per the First Information Report registered at Johar Town police station on January 22, Khan was abducted while leaving his office premises.

The FIR states that at the time of the incident, Khan was on a phone call with the college’s female general manager when the situation unfolded.

The general manager reportedly heard an unfamiliar voice during the call, with the caller claiming that Khan had been involved in a traffic accident.

Shortly after the brief exchange, Khan’s mobile phone was switched off, which raised alarm and left his colleagues unable to track his whereabouts.

Police said the sudden loss of contact prompted concerns of a possible abduction, leading to the registration of a case and the launch of a search operation.

Law enforcement agencies have not yet disclosed whether a ransom demand was made or what circumstances led to Khan’s release.

Investigators are currently examining call records, CCTV footage, and other digital evidence to identify the suspects and determine their movements.

Police have assured the public that all available resources are being used to bring those responsible to justice and prevent similar incidents.

The case has once again highlighted concerns over security in the city and the safety of professionals during routine travel.
