Abbas Afridi Replaces Injured Mohammad Wasim Jr in Pakistan’s T20I Squad Against Bangladesh
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the inclusion of young fast bowler Abbas Afridi in the national T20I squad for the upcoming home series against Bangladesh, replacing Mohammad Wasim Jr, who has been ruled out due to injury.
According to PCB sources, all-rounder Wasim Jr sustained a side strain during the recent Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has not fully recovered. Following medical assessment, the team’s medical panel has advised him to rest for at least one week.

As a result, Wasim Jr will undergo rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.
The T20I series between Pakistan and Bangladesh is set to begin tomorrow in Lahore, with both teams looking to fine-tune their squads ahead of future international commitments.
