Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s sister, Nikhat Hegde, has expressed her joy over his relationship with Gauri Spratt, stating that the family fully supports the couple.
Speaking at the trailer launch of her upcoming Malayalam film L2: Empuraan in Mumbai, Nikhat shared that she and her family wish Aamir and Gauri a lifetime of happiness.
“We are very happy for Aamir and Gauri because she is a wonderful person, and we want them to always stay happy together,” she told Times Applaud Trends.

Aamir, who recently turned 60, publicly acknowledged his relationship with Gauri Spratt during a press conference on the eve of his birthday. He revealed that they have been together for a year and a half, but their association goes back 25 years. Gauri, based in Bengaluru, is currently working under his production banner.
Meanwhile, L2: Empuraan director Prithviraj Sukumaran shared an interesting detail about Nikhat’s casting in the film. He admitted that he was unaware of her connection to Aamir Khan when he selected her for the role.
“I didn’t know she was Aamir sir’s sister. When I saw the audition tapes, I told Priyatama, my casting director, ‘I want her.’ She then mentioned, ‘Oh yes, she’s great. By the way, she’s also Aamir sir’s sister.’ That surprised me,” Prithviraj recalled.
He also revealed that Aamir later messaged him inquiring about her performance. “Aamir asked, ‘Is my sister good in the film?’ I replied, ‘Sir, she’s more than just good.’”
The highly anticipated trailer for L2: Empuraan, the sequel to Lucifer, was released on March 20, with the film set to hit theaters on March 27.
