A public holiday has been declared in Pakistan

The incumbent government has officially announced a public holiday on August 14 (Wednesday) to celebrate Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day. This significant day will see all government offices, educational institutions, banks, and financial institutions closed, allowing citizens to participate in the festivities and reflect on the nation’s journey since its independence in 1947. The State Bank of Pakistan has also confirmed the closure of all banks and financial institutions on this day, ensuring that the entire nation can take part in the celebrations.
