A professor from Karachi has successfully created an eco-friendly cement that can significantly reduce carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions, outperforming traditional cement.
This innovation is both sustainable and economical.
After eight years of research, Professor Tariq Jamil from NED University unveiled this groundbreaking cement, which can lower carbon dioxide emissions by up to 40%.

“Unlike conventional cement, this new material is 25% more affordable and ten times more durable,” said Dr. Tariq Jamil, a materials scientist at NED University.
Buildings made with this environmentally friendly cement will maintain cooler temperatures in summer and warmer conditions in winter, enhancing energy efficiency.
Moreover, structures built near coastal regions will have improved resistance to rusting in steel reinforcements.
