A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted several cities in Pakistan, including areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and the capital, Islamabad. According to the Meteorological Department, the earthquake’s epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range in Afghanistan, with a depth of 215 km.

Tremors were also felt in the border regions of Afghanistan and Tajikistan, as reported by foreign media. The German Research Center recorded the earthquake’s magnitude at 5.4 and reported a depth of 92 km.
