A man named Shehbaz Sharif was reportedly robbed in Sadiqabad, police confirmed on Wednesday. Authorities clarified that the victim is not Pakistan’s Prime Minister, and the name similarity is purely coincidental.
According to ARY News, the robbery occurred in the Kacha Razi area of Sadiqabad. Armed suspects intercepted the victim, taking his motorcycle, mobile phone, and cash before fleeing. The victim is an ordinary citizen with no political affiliation.
Muhammad Sharif, the victim’s father, filed a complaint with the local police. Authorities emphasized that he is unrelated to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif or Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, despite sharing the same last name.
Following the complaint, police registered a case and launched an investigation into the robbery. Statements are being recorded, and evidence is being collected to identify the suspects.
