The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued a public warning about a fraudulent website, idcardtracking.online, which is falsely claiming to offer NADRA’s services. The scam targets both local citizens and overseas Pakistanis, putting personal and financial information at serious risk.
In its advisory, NADRA cautioned people against engaging with unauthorized agents, intermediaries, or third-party service providers for any identity-related work. Officials stressed that using unofficial channels can lead to data theft, financial fraud, and misuse of personal information, highlighting the growing threat of cybercrime in identity management.
NADRA emphasized that the only secure and legitimate method to access its services is through the official Pak ID Mobile App, which enables users to safely apply for and track identity documents. The app ensures that sensitive personal data is protected and processed through official channels, eliminating the risk of scams or fraudulent interference.
Authorities urged the public to remain vigilant and verify the authenticity of any platform claiming to offer NADRA services. Citizens were also advised to immediately report any suspicious activity or websites to NADRA for further investigation.
By taking these precautions and using official platforms, Pakistanis can safeguard their personal information while accessing essential identity services without falling victim to scams or cybercriminal activities.
