Pakistani actress and model Nausheen Shah has revealed the personal reason behind her decision to remove the hijab. She discussed her spiritual journey and faith transformation during a recent podcast.
Nausheen Shah explained that a dream inspired her to wear the hijab. In the dream, she heard a voice saying that if she did not cover her head, the angels would leave her. Following this, she wore the hijab regularly for about four months, both at home and during photo shoots.
Despite wearing it consistently, Nausheen Shah said she began to feel she was living a double life. This inner conflict led her to reconsider her choices, ultimately deciding to remove the hijab. She asked Allah for forgiveness before taking the step, even though she had enjoyed styling it and wearing it.
The actress also shared how her spiritual practices remain a core part of her life. After removing the hijab, she focused on regular prayer and strengthening her connection with Allah. She said, “I prayed, ‘O Allah, guide me towards You and help me pray consistently.’ My prayers were answered, and I now follow a regular prayer routine.”
