The grand welcome highlighted the close ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as Sharif arrived in Riyadh to hold key talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on trade, security, and regional cooperation.
Ahead of the visit, Riyadh was adorned with the flags of both nations, symbolizing friendship and solidarity. Analysts described the gesture as “an extraordinary honor,” especially significant amid heightened regional tensions following Israeli strikes on Qatar.
