Pakistan Railways Pilot Engine Attacked Near Sibi During Transit

Bolan, August 4 – A Pakistan Railways pilot engine came under fire near Dozan in the Bolan district, officials confirmed on Sunday.

According to authorities, unknown assailants opened fire as the engine was passing through the area. The attack happened during a routine operation.

The pilot engine was carrying two personnel—a driver and an assistant driver—at the time of the incident. Thankfully, no injuries or damage were reported.

Pakistan Railways officials stated that the suspects fled the scene before law enforcement could arrive. Security forces responded quickly, but the attackers had already escaped.

An investigation is now underway to identify and arrest those responsible. Authorities are gathering evidence and reviewing possible motives behind the attack.

In response to the incident, Pakistan Railways has increased security measures in the region. Patrols have been strengthened along vulnerable rail routes, especially in the Bolan district.

Rail operations in the area remain active but are now under strict security monitoring. Extra precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of staff and passengers.

Officials said this was not the first such incident in the region. In recent months, several attacks on railway infrastructure have raised concerns over route security.

Despite the threat, Pakistan Railways has continued operations with enhanced safety protocols. The department has also urged local authorities to assist in maintaining law and order near critical rail lines.

The Bolan region, known for its rugged terrain, has been flagged as a high-risk zone for transport routes. Railway officials are coordinating with security agencies to prevent future incidents.

Passengers and railway workers are advised to stay alert and report any suspicious activity. Authorities have assured the public that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure safe travel.
