Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved several innovative education projects, including “School on Wheels,” “Library on Wheels,” and a modern mobile library system, to enhance educational access across the province.

The School on Wheels initiative aims to deliver education to children in remote areas through electric rickshaws fitted with solar panels. These mobile classrooms will use foldable chairs under umbrella-style canopies, allowing teachers to conduct lessons directly in local streets or communities. Children will receive books, learning materials, painting supplies, and educational toys to support interactive learning.

To further enrich reading habits, the Library on Wheels project will deploy cartoon-themed mini-vans stocked with diverse books. These mobile libraries will be stationed in parks and open areas, providing children access to literature beyond their school curriculum.

Aligned with CM Maryam Nawaz’s “Parho Gay To Barho Gay” (Read to Grow) vision, a modern Mobile Library will also be introduced. Housed in buses equipped with tables and chairs, these libraries will offer books in Urdu, English, and Science, along with children’s magazines.
