The information was revealed by the minister during a news conference in Islamabad following the enforcement of Section 144 in Lahore ahead of the Aurat March and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) election rally.

“Only the institution may conduct Faiz’s court martial,” Sanaullah said, adding that the military trial is held by the General Headquarters (GHQ), not the Interior Ministry.

He stated that whatever was done was necessary, and that PTI Chairman Imran Khan would be detained if necessary.

Furthermore, the minister recommended that the Haya March be held on March 7 or 9, rather than March 8, when various activities, including the Aurat March, are staged in honour of International Women’s Day.

“Aurat March is on March 8, and our moms and sisters are marching in it,” he remarked, adding that the day is extremely important for women.

According to him, the ladies take to the streets to promote two distinct storylines.
