Pakistan Prepared for Next Phase of Action Against India, Says Khawaja Asif

Defense Minister Confirms Pakistan’s Strikes on Indian Airfields, Disables Defense Systems in Calculated Response

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has confirmed that Pakistan launched strategic strikes on Indian airfields, crippling India’s advanced defense systems and delivering significant damage in a direct response to recent hostilities.

In an exclusive interview with SAMAA TV, Asif stated that Pakistan has now entered the next operational phase and is fully prepared to escalate further if required. He underlined that while Pakistan had shown considerable restraint in the face of Indian aggression, the time for patience had ended.

“We tried not to escalate the situation, but we have effectively responded to Indian provocations,” Asif said, referencing India’s missile attacks on critical sites like Nur Khan Air Base. He confirmed that no major losses were sustained by Pakistan during the strikes.

Russian Defense System Rendered Ineffective

Asif revealed that Pakistan targeted Indian airfields and neutralized the Russian-made defense systems that previously posed challenges to Pakistani air operations.

“The system India relied on has been rendered ineffective,” he stated, suggesting a critical shift in regional air superiority.

Role of the Pakistan Air Force

The defense minister commended the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for its decisive role, calling it the cornerstone of Pakistan’s response.

“The Air Force has played a fundamental role. The more praise it receives, the less it deserves — it has gone above and beyond,” Asif remarked.

Strategic and Diplomatic Dimensions

Despite the intensity of the conflict, Asif emphasized that Pakistan’s actions were part of a carefully measured strategy, developed with input from friendly nations.

“Countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE have urged us to remain patient,” he said, highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to avoiding impulsive escalation while remaining ready for any eventuality.

“Our preparations for the next phase are complete,” the minister concluded, without disclosing further operational plans.
