KARACHI – Islamabad United continued their dream run in PSL 2025 with a commanding six-wicket victory over Karachi Kings on their home turf, strengthening their hold on the top spot of the PSL points table.
Clinical All-Round Display from Islamabad
Led by skipper Shadab Khan, Islamabad chased down a modest target of 129 runs in just 17.1 overs. Shadab anchored the innings with a calm and calculated 47 off 40 balls, guiding his team to their fourth consecutive win in the tournament.
The chase was set up by an explosive start from in-form batter Sahibzada Farhan, who smashed 30 off 18 balls, maintaining his exceptional form. Azam Khan chipped in with a crucial 31 runs, ensuring there were no hiccups in the middle overs.
Karachi Kings Struggle with the Bat
Karachi Kings never got going after being put in to bat. The only resistance came from Tim Seifert, who scored a fighting 30, as the hosts limped to 128/7 in their 20 overs. Islamabad’s bowlers dominated from start to finish, with Shadab Khan picking up 2/17, Imad Wasim conceding just 17 in 4 overs, and Naseem Shah striking twice with figures of 2/29.
