A milk seller from Sanghar, Nazeemuddin Shar, was arrested on charges of motorcycle theft just days after expressing support for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan on social media. The arrest came two days after Shar participated in a Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) protest rally, where he voiced his support for his rights, and later posted on social media calling for Khan’s release, labeling him the “only honest leader.”
Sources suggest that the police filed a motorcycle theft case against Shar following his public statements in favor of Imran Khan. The arrest took place early in the morning near Kundi Wah, where Shar was on his way to the city from his village. His family, unaware of his whereabouts, claimed that the police had initially refused to provide any information regarding his detention. However, after news of his arrest spread on social media, authorities confirmed his detention on the theft charges.

Shar’s parents vehemently denied the accusations, asserting that their son had never been involved in criminal activities. They accused the police of fabricating the case against him as retaliation for his support of Imran Khan. His family and legal representatives gathered at Sanghar Police Station to demand further details on the case. Lawyers including Anwar Shehzad Khattak, Sunny Yousafzai, and Imran Khaskheli condemned the arrest, claiming it was part of a broader government crackdown against PTI supporters in the area.
