Microsoft Unveils AI-Powered Game Development Tool ‘Muse’
Microsoft, in collaboration with Teachable AI Experiences and Ninja Theory (an Xbox Game Studios developer), has launched Muse, an AI tool designed to accelerate game development.

Muse is an AI-powered system that generates in-game visuals and player actions using an advanced 3D understanding of game environments.
How Was Muse Trained?
- 1.6 billion parameters
- 1 billion images & 1 billion controller actions (equivalent to 7 years of continuous gameplay)
- Training data sourced from Ninja Theory’s game, Bleeding Edge
- Processes visuals at 300 x 180 resolution
- Can generate 2-minute gameplay sequences and predict future game evolution
