According to Badshah Khan, President of the Water Tanker Association, the decision was made following an incident at Jail Chowrangi, where five water tankers were torched. In response to this act of violence, the association has opted for a strong yet peaceful course of action.

Khan emphasized that the association will address any further aggression through non-violent means.

With the suspension of water tanker services, residents who depend on them for their daily water supply are likely to face significant hardships.
