The Directorate of Colleges Education for Karachi has banned all colleges in the city from accepting cash payments from students.
According to a notification by Regional Director Faqir Muhammad Lakho, principals have been instructed to ensure no cash fees are collected at service counters. All payments must be made directly into designated college bank accounts.

The notification also warned that principals will be held accountable for any irregularities in cash fee collection. This decision comes after staff at Government College for Women Nazimabad and Jinnah College Nazimabad misappropriated examination fees, causing 250 students to miss receiving their admit cards on time.
In response, Dr. Zafar, Controller of Examinations at the University of Karachi, issued emergency admit cards, and the college principal filed an FIR against those involved in the misconduct.
