Railway police successfully prevented an attempt to smuggle a leopard pelt hidden in the power van of the Karachi-bound Sir Syed Express.
Authorities discovered the pelt and took swift action to stop its illegal transportation. Railway porter Safdar had reportedly passed the pelt to plant operator Faisal Shehzad.

Upon finding the pelt, railway police seized it and handed it over to the Punjab Wildlife Department. Both Safdar and Shehzad were also transferred to the department for further legal action.
