According to the spokesperson, these advanced weapons pose a direct threat to Pakistan’s security, as terrorist groups, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), have used them for attacks inside Pakistan. Pakistan has repeatedly urged the Afghan authorities to ensure that these weapons do not fall into the wrong hands, stressing the importance of regional peace and stability.

The Afghan Taliban reportedly refused to return any military equipment left behind by U.S. troops. The situation has sparked further tensions and discussions about shifting alliances, including proposals to provide more advanced weaponry to the Taliban to combat ISIS-K, a local offshoot of ISIS.
