The United States holds the top rank with a PwrIndx* score of 0.0744, operating a vast fleet that includes 5,737 helicopters, 1,854 fighter jets, and 3,722 support aircraft. Russia ranks second, with a fleet of 1,554 helicopters, 809 fighter jets, and 610 support aircraft. Despite its formidable air force, Russia has faced significant losses during the ongoing Ukraine war, with 220 aircraft destroyed since 2022.

China, in third place, has made major strides in air power, modernizing its fleet with sixth-generation fighter jets and investing in supersonic aircraft. India (4th), South Korea (5th), and Japan (6th) follow closely with strong air capabilities.

Pakistan, with its fleet of 1,434 aircraft, including fighter jets, helicopters, and support planes, secures the 7th spot. This ranking highlights the strength and operational readiness of the Pakistan Air Force, which continues to play a vital role in regional security.

The report underscores the evolving global air power dynamics, where countries like China are rapidly advancing technologically, while others like Russia face challenges in maintaining their air fleets amid ongoing military engagements.
