Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Karachi for a day-long visit, where he will inaugurate the new faceless customs assessment system aimed at enhancing the efficiency and transparency of the customs clearance process. Upon his arrival at Faisal Air Base, Prime Minister Sharif was greeted by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
As part of his visit, Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to attend a ceremony at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) to celebrate the landmark achievement of PSX surpassing the 100,000-point mark. In addition, he will tour the South Asian Port Terminal, where he will receive a briefing on the newly implemented faceless customs assessment system, designed to streamline customs clearance, reduce processing times, and promote transparency.

The Faceless Customs Assessment System, a key initiative following the Prime Minister’s directive during his previous Karachi visit, is set to modernize and automate the customs clearance process. The new system is expected to improve efficiency, ensuring faster and more transparent clearance at ports.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will also meet with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to discuss ongoing developments and further collaboration between the provincial and federal governments.
