The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has published updated figures on social media usage in the country, showing the number of active users on major platforms as of January 2024.
The data reveals that Facebook has 60.4 million users in Pakistan, with a clear male majority — 77% are male, while 24% are female.

On YouTube, there are 71.7 million users, with 72% being male and 28% female, highlighting the platform’s extensive reach.
TikTok, another widely used platform, has 54.4 million users, with 78% being male and 22% female.
Instagram, with a smaller user base, has 17.3 million users, with 64% male and 36% female.
These figures emphasize the increasing digital engagement in Pakistan, with social media becoming an integral part of daily life for millions across the country.
