According to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Annual Report for 2024, the Mobile Average Revenue per User (ARPU) in Pakistan saw a notable increase. For the period April-June 2024, the ARPU rose to Rs. 302 per month, while in the fiscal year 2023-24, it increased to Rs. 276 per month, up from Rs. 229 in the previous year.

Jazz and Ufone led the charge with remarkable growth in their ARPU:
- Jazz achieved an ARPU of Rs. 327 in 2023-24, compared to Rs. 254 the previous year.
- Ufone saw its ARPU rise to Rs. 280, up from Rs. 233.
Telenor and Zong also experienced growth:
- Telenor‘s ARPU increased to Rs. 214.
- Zong‘s ARPU rose to Rs. 258.
In the April-June 2024 period, Jazz’s ARPU notably surged to Rs. 369 per month, surpassing its competitors, followed by Ufone at Rs. 304 during the same period.
The rise in ARPU is largely attributed to the growing importance of data revenue, which now accounts for 65% of the total revenue in Pakistan’s mobile industry. This emphasizes the need to promote broadband and digital services adoption to further boost the sector’s ARPU, aligning with the global trend of increasing demand for mobile data services.
