This iOS 18 Feature Makes Accessing Call History Effortless!

If you’ve ever had trouble finding a recent important call on your iPhone, iOS 18 introduces a feature that makes this task quicker and easier.

Released in September, iOS 18 brought a variety of updates, including a customizable home screen, RCS messaging, and a useful new search bar in the Phone app. This search bar allows you to quickly filter through your call history and voicemails, eliminating the need to scroll through the Recents tab endlessly.

Previously, the Recent calls tab displayed an unbroken list of incoming and outgoing calls. Now, with iOS 18, users can search directly within the Phone app. To use this feature, simply open the Phone app, tap the Recents tab at the bottom, and use the search bar at the top.

The search menu is divided into two sections: Calls and Voicemails, each with a “See All” option. You can search by contact name, phone number, or date. For instance:

  • Typing “mom” or “dad” will show all calls and voicemails from those contacts.
  • Searching for months like “July” or “August” will pull up all activity from those months.
  • Entering a specific date, such as “July 5,” will display calls and voicemails from that day.

This intuitive feature simplifies managing and finding your call history.
