South Korea experienced heavy snowfall for a second straight day, causing three deaths and significant travel disruptions, according to officials. The fatalities occurred in Gyeonggi province, including one person crushed under a collapsing garage during snow clearing and another in a golf practice net collapse caused by the severe weather.
The snowfall led to the cancellation of 156 flights and disrupted 104 ferry services across 79 routes, as reported by the interior ministry. Wednesday marked Seoul’s heaviest November snowfall since record-keeping began over a century ago, coinciding with the season’s first snow.
