At least 15 people, including a woman, were killed on Thursday when unknown assailants attacked passenger vehicles in the Ochat area of Kurram district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The vehicles were en route from Parachinar to Peshawar when they were ambushed, with several other passengers also injured in the attack. Rescue officials have transported the wounded to hospitals for treatment.

Kurram district has witnessed ongoing tribal clashes in recent months, leading to numerous casualties. President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned the attack, calling it a cowardly and inhumane act. He expressed condolences to the families of the victims and ordered authorities to apprehend those responsible.
In his statement, President Zardari prayed for the departed souls and for the strength of the bereaved families. He also wished for the swift recovery of the injured and stressed the importance of providing them with the best medical care.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also condemned the attack and expressed sorrow over the loss of innocent lives. He held a phone conversation with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, during which both agreed to conduct joint operations against terrorism.
