Daska Woman Killed Pregnant Daughter-in-Law, Dismembered her Body

In a shocking incident in Daska, Punjab, a seven-month pregnant woman was brutally killed by her mother-in-law and sister-in-law. The crime has sent shockwaves across the country, with many expressing outrage over the heinous act.

The incident occurred in Kotli Marlan village, where the victim, identified as Zehra, was killed by her in-laws. Police revealed that Zehra’s mother-in-law, Sughra Bibi, and her daughter, Yasmeen, carried out the murder. They then dismembered her body, packed the pieces into bags, and dumped them in a canal in an attempt to conceal their crime.

To further hide the evidence, the perpetrators severed Zehra’s limbs and burned her head to prevent identification. Afterward, Sughra spread false rumors, claiming that Zehra had run away with someone, while secretly disposing of the remains.

Zehra, 26, hailed from Gujranwala’s village Kot Mand and had been married to Qadeer from Kotli Marlan for four years. Her husband, who works abroad, has not been reachable by the police. The Daska police have registered a murder case after the discovery of the body.

The police swiftly arrested Sughra, Yasmeen, and her grandson Abdullah, and they are currently in Daska police custody. The tragic event has sparked widespread attention, with media personalities like Maria Memon commending the police for their prompt action in solving the case. This incident follows a similar case in Muzaffargarh, where another woman was allegedly burned to death by her in-laws.
