Government to Choose Banks for Hajj 2025 Applications by November

The Ministry of Religious Affairs is set to finalize its selection of commercial banks to manage Hajj applications under the government’s regular scheme by early November.

During a meeting on Friday, the ministry’s tender committee reviewed proposals from 15 commercial banks. The committee, led by Joint Secretary Sajjad Haider Yaldram, includes officials such as Joint Secretary Chaudhry Asadullah Faiz, Chief Finance Officer Zulfiqar Khan, and Deputy Secretary for Hajj Operations Nasir Aziz Khan, among others. Representatives from the banks were also present to supervise the tender process.

According to the ministry, Pakistan’s total Hajj quota of 179,210 will be evenly divided, allocating 89,605 spots for the government scheme and the same number for private schemes. The preliminary cost of the government’s Hajj package for 2025 is projected to range between Rs. 1,075,000 and Rs. 1,175,000.
