This regulation will be in effect from Friday, October 18, to Saturday, October 19, banning all protests, rallies, and similar activities during this time.
A spokesperson from the Punjab Home Department explained that the decision to implement Section 144 aims to maintain peace and order while safeguarding lives and property, citing security concerns that public gatherings could be potential targets for terrorism.
