CM Bugti Reaffirms 'No Need for Military Operation in Balochistan

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti stated on Saturday that there is no need for a military operation in the province.

Speaking to the media in Quetta, CM Bugti emphasized, “Balochistan is a vast province, and we are committed to defending the state at all costs. If my resignation can help eliminate the threat of terrorism, I would not hesitate to step down.”

He expressed serious concerns regarding terrorism, noting that simply condemning terrorist activities is insufficient. “Tomorrow, we will work towards achieving a consensus in the assembly to combat terrorism,” he added.

Recently, CM Bugti mentioned that his government aims to ensure good governance in Balochistan. While addressing a luncheon in Quetta, he remarked, “All political parties are united in their approach. We are focused on addressing the various issues faced by Balochistan through collaborative discussions.”

Bugti identified challenges in the province related to law and order, health, education, and environmental concerns. “We are involving allied parties in our efforts in Balochistan,” he stated.

Notable attendees at the event included Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Amir Muqam and the Balochistan governor.
