CDA Chairman Orders Resolution of Electricity Issues in Park Enclave

CDA Chairman Orders Swift Resolution of Electricity, Allotment, and Revenue Issues in Park Enclave

Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa has instructed the concerned departments to address the electricity supply issues in Park Enclave II and III. During a meeting on Tuesday, he urged for the swift resolution of allotment cancellations for defaulters in Park Enclave.

The chairman also directed the Estate Wing to resolve problems related to Built-Up Properties (BUP) in Park Enclave, as well as sectors E-12/1 and E-12/4.

In the meeting, the Finance Wing provided a detailed briefing on CDA’s financial status, focusing on revenue generation. The report highlighted that CDA is actively working towards meeting its fiscal year targets. Apart from auction income, recurring revenue sources are also contributing significantly.

A comparative analysis of revenue generation across various directorates, including the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA), was presented. The chairman emphasized the importance of continuous oversight by the Finance Wing to monitor progress and ensure targets are met. He also instructed the Finance Wing to take a proactive role in tracking and managing revenue generation efforts.

Furthermore, Chairman Randhawa directed the issuance of notices to all public and private leaseholders with expired agreements. The Planning Wing was urged to prioritize resolving pending commercialization cases to streamline CDA operations and boost revenue collection.

The Building Control Section was instructed to strengthen its field force, and efforts were ordered to address human resource shortages in both the Building Control and Estate Management Wings.

Chairman Randhawa stressed the importance of timely revenue recovery to ensure that development projects in Islamabad remain unaffected. The meeting was attended by Member Finance and senior CDA officers from various wings and directorates.
