On Sunday, a violent clash erupted at Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) between the Punjabi Students Council and the Pakhtun Students Council, leaving at least 25 students injured, with several requiring hospital treatment.
The conflict began when Punjabi students attacked Muzamil Marwat, inflicting severe head injuries. This escalated into a larger confrontation, with both groups wielding sticks and iron rods. The violence continued for around 40 minutes before the police intervened.

The university has since reported 380 students to the authorities, though no arrests have been made.
