Apple’s iPhones have been reliable in terms of durability, but internal changes in the iPhone 16 series raised questions about the new flagships’ resilience.

These concerns were put to rest when YouTuber JerryRigEverything’s durability test showed the iPhone 16 Pro Max passing with no damage, unlike the new M4 iPad Pros, which remain prone to breaking.

The scratch test revealed that the iPhone 16’s new camera control button, made of sapphire, withstands scratches up to level 7 on Moh’s hardness scale. The rest of the phone, made of titanium and glass, reacts to scratches similarly to previous models.

In the bend test, the iPhone 16 Pro Max proved just as strong as its predecessor, showing minimal flex under pressure and surviving multiple attempts without damage.
