Pakistan Condemns Israeli Airstrike on Gaza School, Demands Accountability

On Sunday, Pakistan strongly condemned the Israeli attack on Al-Tabeen School in eastern Gaza, which claimed the lives of over 100 civilians, including women and children, and left many others injured.

In a statement, the Foreign Office Spokesperson denounced the strike on the overcrowded school, which had been sheltering displaced persons and occurred during their morning prayers. The Spokesperson condemned the assault as a “horrific, inhuman, and cowardly act.”

“The indiscriminate targeting of civilian populations and facilities is a severe violation of international humanitarian law and constitutes war crimes,” the Spokesperson stated.

She emphasized that Israel must be held accountable for these war crimes and the ongoing genocide in Gaza. “We call on the international community, particularly the United Nations and Israel’s supporters, to take immediate action to end the genocide in Gaza and protect its people,” she added.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the Israeli airstrike, describing it as “an unprecedented act of aggression and barbarity.” He declared that Israel had “crossed all boundaries in its blatant aggression” following the early morning attack.

The Prime Minister urged the international community, including the United Nations, to take decisive measures to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s position that the Israeli leadership and its armed forces must be held accountable for the genocide of Palestinians and for committing war crimes. “Israel should face severe consequences for its heinous crimes,” he asserted, calling for the implementation of an International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling against Israel.
