Punjab boards declare class 9 exam results

The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has officially announced the results for the Class 9th examinations, with 287,000 students participating this year. Zahid Mian, the controller of examinations for the Lahore board, reported that over 127,000 students passed the exams, while 159,000 did not succeed, leading to a pass rate of 44%. This reflects a 6% decrease in the success rate compared to last year, highlighting a challenging year for many students.

In Multan, the board also released the results for the Class 9th annual examination, with a pass percentage of 49.48%. Out of 139,786 candidates, 69,169 students passed the exams. This result indicates a poor performance, raising concerns about the quality of education in the region.

Similarly, the Faisalabad Education Board announced its Class 9th results, revealing that only 48.05% of the 194,249 students who took the exams passed. With over half of the students failing, this result has caused significant concern among educators and parents.

These low pass percentages across various boards have raised questions about the current state of education in the region, prompting calls for immediate action to address the academic challenges students are facing.
