Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a significant reduction in the prices of petroleum products in Pakistan, providing much-needed relief to consumers. The Ministry of Finance released an official notification detailing the new prices:
- Petrol: Reduced by Rs 6.17 per liter, now priced at Rs 269.77 per liter (previously Rs 275.60).
- Diesel: Reduced by Rs 10.86 per liter, now priced at Rs 272.77 per liter (previously Rs 283.63).
- Light Diesel: Reduced by Rs 5.72 per liter, now priced at Rs 160.53 per liter (previously Rs 166.25).

- Kerosene: Reduced by Rs 5.72 per liter, now priced at Rs 177.39 per liter (previously Rs 183.71).
These changes are aimed at alleviating the financial burden on the public and are part of the government’s broader efforts to address the rising cost of living and enhance economic affordability. The new prices are effective immediately.
