The PTI central secretariat has been sealed once again

ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation has sealed the central office of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) once again, citing insufficient fire and life safety measures. The action follows recent claims by PTI senator Shibli Faraz that the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police surrounded the PTI secretariat on Monday and arrested PTI chairman Barrister Gohar along with party spokesperson Rauf Hasan. A significant police presence, including women officers, was reported outside the PTI office.

However, Barrister Gohar clarified to SAMAA TV that he was not arrested. He stated that while Rauf Hasan was taken into custody, he himself was merely transported by police to his residence and was informed he was not wanted in any FIR. The police action also targeted individuals involved in alleged disinformation, including the PTI spokesperson Raoof Hasan. Reports suggest that the raid was prompted by concerns from PTI’s international social media activists, with the PTI digital media center identified as a major source of misinformation.
