The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has recently granted no-objection certificates (NOCs) to 12 cricketers, allowing them to participate in various international leagues and tournaments. This decision aligns with PCB’s policies and enables players to showcase their talents globally.
Here’s a breakdown of the players and the leagues they are set to participate in:
- Abrar Ahmed – Major League Cricket (July 4 – July 28)
- Fakhar Zaman – Caribbean Premier League (August 29 – October 6)
- Haris Rauf – Major League Cricket (July 5 – July 28)
- Mohammad Amir – County Cricket (July 4 – July 20)
- Mohammad Haris – Lanka Premier League (July 1 – July 21)
- Mohammad Hasnain – Lanka Premier League (July 1 – July 21)
- Salman Ali Agha – Lanka Premier League (July 1 – July 21)
- Shadab Khan – Lanka Premier League (July 1 – July 21)
- Sharjeel Khan – World Championship of Legends (July 3 – July 13)
- Sohaib Maqsood – World Championship of Legends (July 3 – July 13)
- Usama Mir – The Hundred (July 23 – August 20)
- Zaman Khan – Major League Cricket (July 4 – July 28)
However, two players, Azam Khan and Saim Ayub, were unable to obtain NOCs due to their commitments with the Guyana Warriors in the upcoming Caribbean Premier League 2024. Azam Khan has also opted out of the Lanka Premier League to adhere to PCB’s policy, which allows players to participate in a maximum of two leagues annually.
This move by PCB not only supports the exposure and development of Pakistani cricketers on the global stage but also ensures compliance with its own regulations regarding player participation in international leagues.
