Pakistan Railways Reduces Fares To Share Fuel Savings

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Pakistan Railways has announced a fare reduction to alleviate the burden of inflation on the public following a recent decline in petrol and diesel prices.

The railway authorities have revised ticket prices for various distances, spanning from 1 kilometer to 200 kilometers. Economy class fares have been slashed by up to 54%, while AC (Air Conditioned) class fares have been reduced by 40%.

For instance, on the Lahore to Rawalpindi route, the minimum economy class fare has decreased from Rs250 to Rs100. These adjustments come in the wake of a diesel price decrease on May 15, where the price dropped by Rs7.88, reaching Rs274.08 per liter.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
