The Islamabad court has reserved judgement in the case involving Sheikh Rashid's remarks on Zardari

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the leader of the Awami Muslim League (AML) and a supporter of the Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was brought before a local court in Islamabad on Saturday after serving the entirety of a two-day physical remand that had been granted on Thursday. The court reserved its decision regarding the case against Ahmed for allegedly making derogatory remarks against the PPP leadership.

He was brought before Judicial Magistrate Umar Shabbir’s court under tight security, and the police asked the judge to order further five days of physical detention for the AML chief as well as a photogrammetric test.

Attorneys for Ahmed, Abdul Razzaq Khan and Intizar Panjhota, requested the dismissal of all cases. At 4 o’clock today, the reserved decision will be announced. In a video shared from his verified account, he is heard telling reporters that “Asif Zardari, Bilawal, Shehbaz, and Mohsin Naqvi ” should be held accountable if anything were to happen to him on his route to Karachi.
