The seizure occurred at a checkpoint in Lahore’s Shera Kot area, where police suspected the meat originated from unauthorized sources. Their prompt action prevented the potential circulation of hazardous meat, prioritizing public safety.

Authorities disclosed that the individual attempting the meat supply has been apprehended. ASP Mujahid Zohaib Ranjha provided details, explaining that the suspect was transporting the meat from Nankana Sahib to Lahore when intercepted.
Following the discovery, police promptly handed over the disposal of the unsafe meat to the Food Department for further examination and necessary measures. Concurrently, the suspect, identified as Chand, was transferred to Shera Kot Police Station for legal proceedings.
